What is Person-Centred Counselling?
Person-centred counselling is a therapeutic approach that emphasizes the individual’s perspective and personal experience. At its core, this method fosters a safe and confidential environment where clients can freely explore their thoughts, feelings, and emotions without the fear of judgment. As a practitioner currently studying for a Level 5 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling, I have come to appreciate the profound impact that this approach can have on mental health and personal growth.
My Journey into Counselling
After spending 28 years in project and people management within the telecommunications industry, I decided to embark on a career change into counselling. This transition has allowed me to connect with individuals on a deeper level, offering them support and guidance as they navigate their own challenges. Through my training at University College Peterborough, I have gained the skills necessary to assist clients in setting and achieving their therapeutic goals.
How Can Counselling Help You?
Engaging in person-centred counselling can lead to meaningful improvements in your mental health, relationships, and overall quality of life. By collaborating in a non-directive manner, I facilitate a space for clients to discover their own insights and empower them to make necessary changes. You are the expert in your life, and together, we can work towards enhancing your well-being and resilience.
