What is Person-Centred Counselling?
Person-centred counselling is a unique approach in therapy that emphasizes the importance of creating a safe and confidential space for individuals to explore their thoughts and emotions. At its core, this method recognizes that you are the expert in your own life. My role as a counsellor is to listen actively and support you as we navigate your feelings together.
My Journey into Counselling
After dedicating 28 years to project and people management in the telecoms industry, I decided to make a significant career change. Currently, I am pursuing a Level 5 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling at University College Peterborough. This transition has allowed me to harness my interpersonal skills in a more impactful way—helping clients to achieve their personal goals and improve their mental health.
Goals of Person-Centred Therapy
The primary aim of person-centred therapy is to empower you to enhance your overall quality of life. Through our sessions, we will work collaboratively to set goals that strengthen your relationships and foster your mental wellbeing. By providing a non-judgmental environment, I hope to facilitate personal growth and self-discovery.
